It is my desire to create the safest environment I possibly can for each of my visitors. I have many measures in place to accomplish this. I use animal friendly cleaning, I have walls between each run to prevent any cross contamination, and of course I make sure  my visitors are vaccinated for their protection.

My friends have close contact with one another on a daily basis. The only way I can protect against any possible risk of illness is to make sure all of the animals are vaccinated properly. These Vaccines are NON-Negotiable. I will require a  copy of proof of Vaccination to be sent by the week prior to their stay. 

I do not board dogs that are within 2 weeks of adoption from the shelter or rescue facility. This is to ensure they are disease free before entering my Facility.

• Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella are the vaccinations required be up to date in order to stay. If you’re boarding a new member of your household, their vaccinations should be given 5 days prior to boarding, as doing so will give them protection. If they are not up to date then will need them 5 days prior to their stay. I ask that all dogs are free of sneezing, coughing, vomiting, and diarrhea before entering the facility.

Please bring your own food. I do not want to change any dog's diet that could result in an upset stomach or digestion issues. I feed in am and pm. I will serve and prepare each meal exactly the  way you request it. I will accommodate any special dietary needs your pup may have. I will have my own supply of food if necessary. 

I provide the bowls, blankets, toys, etc so you do not need to bring any from home. I ask that you not bring any personal items that are of value to your pet (favorite toy, blanket, etc). There is no guarantee they will return in same condition. 

Medications

There will no additional cost to administer oral medications. The medications MUST be in the Original Prescription Bottle or Container.

Special Needs

I am qualified to administer different types of medications.  I can administer injections such as Insulin. I can accommodate Post-Surgical Stays, manage bandages, and much more. An additional $5 a day will be added to your bill depending on severity. 

I will have the option of Independent Play or Group Play (only with permission from you). Group play will be dependent on the Temperament of the dogs and how they are with others. They will be put with similar size dogs to play with. It will never go unsupervised and will not have food or toys around to minimize any possessive tendencies. 

I will immediately seek medical attention for your pet. I will contact your regular veterinarian first. If they are unavailable, I will seek help from my veterinarian or ER vet.  However, agreeing to playtimes with your dog means a risk of altercations with other dogs. BGK is not financially liable for medical bills. 

Before their first time stay, we will schedule a day for you to bring them for the day to let them get to know me and will recognize you will return for them. I have no doubt this will help them be at ease with their stay. 

If your pet is more susceptible to upset Stomachs due to stress, it may be a good idea to discuss probiotics with your veterinarian. This may help reduce the chance of having upset stomachs during or after their stay.

Please let me know if they have anxiety, tend to eat beds or toys, etc so that I am better prepared for their stay.
